Who we are
The purpose of the Catholic Charities County Expansion Program is to expand Catholic Charities services beyond Davidson County and into the rural communities. We are currently operating Family Resource Centers in Montgomery, Maury, and Coffee Counties, which are also available to those living in surrounding counties. We plan to expand our services to Putnam County, putting a hub location in each of the four quadrants (northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast) of Middle Tennessee.
What we offer
We currently have food pantries in each of our family resource centers, providing hunger relief services to anyone experiencing food insecurity. We are able to provide personal hygiene items, diapers, and household items to individuals seeking this type of assistance. Some program participants are eligible for basic needs assistance, including rental assistance, utility payments, and grocery gift cards. We provide financial literacy education by professional financial advisors to individuals to enhance budgeting and money management skills. Through our strong connections with community agencies, including our workforce development partners, we connect individuals with appropriate services to meet their individual needs. Our goal is to guide and empower individuals and families to increase their self-sufficiency by providing holistic, comprehensive, wrap-around case management services.
Who we serve
There is not a strict criterion for individuals seeking hunger relief services or connection to resources. Our comprehensive case management services are more specialized and have an eligibility criterion. We strive to serve anyone that is experiencing a level of need seeking services through our family resource centers, and we will not turn anyone away without helping in some capacity.
