Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County
The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County has a long-term relationship with this community, dating back to our founding in 1968. We have undergone significant reorganization several times in the decades since.
HSCMC has focused our energy and resources on pro-active programs and services to better serve the animals and people in our community. We have helped thousands of homeless pets and pet owners and continue to do so every year. Our mission is to prevent the suffering of animals by promoting spaying, neutering and responsible pet ownership; and to support the efforts of local and regional rescues and shelters.
In August 2017, we opened the doors of our long-awaited low cost spay-neuter clinic and have reduced the number of unwanted companion animals significantly. We are a non-profit and we receive no funding from the city, the county, or the state. All our funding is from donations, fundraisers and grants.
